Volleyball Workshop, Austin, Texas

Durango Camps, located in Durango, CO will host an Adult (18 and over)
"Strictly Sand" Volleyball Workshop on the sand courts at Zilker
Park near the downtown area of Austin, Texas. The workshop will present
to its participants a full range of basic skills to advanced techniques
and strategies of the "beach" game of sand doubles. The workshop
camp Director is Jim Graham and Head Coach is Butch
May (father
of Misty, yes that Misty!) who both have long and impressive resumes in
all aspects of volleyball. Other coaches,
as needed, will be secured who have extensive backgrounds in volleyball
as both players and coaches.
The Workshop will begin on Friday, early evening, and conclude on Sunday,
mid-afternoon. The following is an outline of the workshop:

Our coaching staff is the most important ingredient of our camp. They
are all dedicated to the growth and development of volleyball players.
We are confident in our ability to provide the best teachers that the

Dates & Costs
Arriving workshop participants may begin checking in at Zilker Park,
after 4:00 p.m., on Friday, April 25. The workshop will begin at 5:00 p.m. Around 8:00 p.m. we will depart for "Aussies",
a local downtown, "watering hole" that has sand court league
and open play on Fridays. Session
#2 will be Saturday morning, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in Zilker Park. The
final teaching session will be held Sunday morning, but participants
will have
the opportunity to work on individual skills with staff and/or play Sunday
afternoon in a "draw" tourney. The cost for this
Adult
"Strictly Sand" weekend Workshop is $250. (Late registrations
– after April 18 – will be $275.). (Application)
A SPECIAL NOTE: Parking at Zilker Park is $3.00 per car, per day and is
not covered in the cost of the Workshop.
